HBO || Fairy Tales For Every Child

Went from 1995 to 2000 and yet as a kid I remember watching it from 2006 to around 2010s. For a long time I had completely forgotten the name of this show until I went looking for it. Since it has such a basic name I feared I would never find it, but thankfully I did.
I've always loved this art style, reminds me of The Proud Family and the styles that consisted in the 90s.
Looking back I really forgot about how much this show involved black representation from already the first episode the characters are depicted as african american which I really respect for the time. It has a lot more characters consisting of Inuit, Caribbean, Jamaican, African, Hispanic, Latin, Korean, Chinese, Brazilian, Hawaiian and etc. It makes sense since many of the writers, voice actors and directors had a more indigenous background; this was noticed by many and was a prominent part of why so many people liked the show.

(this was an article published in 1995 from the Chicago Tribune)
The art style is very beautiful when it comes to all the places depicted, but the music was amazing to, usually consisting of jazz and R&B.
If you want to have a nostalgia trip I recommend watching this! There's a 5 hour run of the entirety of season 1 up on Youtube so I'll link that below!

went off a bit too much (pt.2)

Humans are naturally social creatures, we hunted in packs. Friends cannot replace that blood relationship you have with your family. They are your people and the few people you can truly count on to be there for you when you need it. I know there's different relationship dynamics of a household and there's some people you like and don't like in your family, but there's something about families that for some reason you just can't replace. You'll always fall back to them when you need it. Covid-19 has brought people closer and has created new memories together and it's not just families that have improved, it's nature as well.
Climate change has dropped significantly in only a past few months, and pictures and videos have been showing up online of nature reclaiming what was once there's.

On April 21st, 2020 an article from The Pew Research Center's Fact Tank called "How Americans see climate change and the environment in 7 charts" created by Cary Funk and Brian Kennedy had shown that the PRC published a survey during the lockdown that showed that two-thirds of adult citizens in the U.S. believed that the government has not done enough to prevent climate change. It had stated in the passage, "In a survey last month, six-in-ten Americans said global climate change is a major threat to the country, up from 44% in 2009. Respondents who took the survey in the latter part of the month – after the March 13 declaration of a national emergency due to the coronavirus – were about equally concerned about climate change as those interviewed earlier in the month." This is a significant increase in concern. This is due to the fact that now that everyone is stuck home and online scrolling through social media, the message has spread through the pictures and images. The message that people have seen through these past few months is that only in a bit of time earth can really improve in only a matter of a few months if we just stop for a moment and let the water set.

I believe this will be one of the greatest ways the Coronavirus pandemic is remembered in History. It's truly left a mark on people and have shown to many that with just a bit of help the world can be healthier.
Sorry for making this so long. I just had a lot of thoughts about the questions. Feel free to respond.

went off a bit too much (pt.1)

My World History class teacher posted two questions and we had to respond in the comments
The questions were:

  1. What are three reasons we study history? You may use info and reasons that you observed in the video.
  2. In 2040, how do you think the story of 2020 will be written and remembered (Tough Question)? Please provide a response that is at least 4 sentences. You are free to respond to this any way you choose.

This was my response:
I believe throughout human existence history has repeated itself. Studying history of our ancestors and experiences they had will help our generation learn from their mistakes and take into account what is a good idea economically, socially, and just society wise. Things such as inflation resulting in the stock market crash, the indian removal act, and the forgotten 1921 Tulsa massacre that had been covered up and erased from history books. Many of America's past actions have seperated people and their connection to others. Things such as the Jim Crow era left people picking sides even if they didn't fully believe in them they had no other choice because there was an obvious divide from who was in the higher ranks of society and who wasn't, who had the advantage and who didn't. This all came out of the social divide the higher ups left down below for the working class of the blacks and the whites. I believe the pandemic to be the same way. The president has created a divide in people. The people who believe it's real and they need to take precaution and listen to what the media tells us to, and the people who believe that this is a cover up or some sort of mass hysteria like Y2K and claims things such as, "If the president isn't scared than why should we be scared?" It's also become the birthplace of past problems such as fake media output and rumors thrown around that has created a subculture that believes they have a right not to wear a mask because the law prohibits stores from forcing people to wear mask.

It's been widely confirmed that Wuhan's response to the Covid-19 crisis has been covered up around the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020 leading to people blindly walking into it and not knowing what it was. I remember around the beginning of 2020 I hadn't even heard of Covid-19, and when I did I knew it as only being a problem in Asia and places close by like Italy. Around winter break I got at the time was what I thought to be just the flu. It took 8 days for me to recover and in that time, everyone in my family got sick except for my brother. When it was going on we all thought the same thing. This just didn't feel the same as just a flu. Months later when we saw the news talking about the symptoms, all the symptoms checked out.

In 2040 I believe this will be looked upon as one of the most documented and preserved pieces of history just due to how much we've seen and recorded throughout. Online communication is really at its peak right now. Everyone's online. Everything is connected. I believe there's been a tone shift during the past few months. What had started out as isolation, losing touch, feeling like the whole world is falling apart has become seen as a blessing in disguise. It's brought us closer to our relatives, feeling a stronger connection knowing that you're right there besides them. I think people lose touch with their families due to the feeling of "I don't have the time to make plans with them. I'd rather hangout with my friends." When people grow up and move out of their parents the parents feel a lack of purpose or communication in person, but due to Covid-19 there's been a new wave of people just craving that chance to just talk face to face.

it makes me happy to see him feeling all cute and pretty. he has low self esteem usually so it's a nice change to see him all happy about it. it may seem weird but tbh, knowing him this is almost expected of him.
If you want to follow him on instagram this is his account https://www.instagram.com/sexy_loliboi/
he mostly makes ironic shitpost so plz dont take his account seriously, he likes being weird and having people become confused.

CSS not functioning. Need help :(

I've been using Jeden Desmonds google doc for most of my CSS work yet for some reason, when i tried to copy and paste some of the coding into it and edit it like usual nothing changes. I don't know what's wrong with it. Is it because of some sort of update or something? I work on a chromebook and just recently there was an automatic update but i'm not sure if it's cause of that and if so then it's a shame cause then i probably won't be able to edit my account any longer.

has anyone else experienced this issue? please message me if you know how to fix this. my gmail is humdrumramen@gmail.com
Is it like too much coding or paragraphs? What am i doing differently?

about me - clarification: (tw)

just yesterday i found the courage in myself to tell my therapist about my past relationships and traumatic moments. I think ive definitly become more clear in my head. its been a while since my last experience of finding myself trembling, having to think back to when i was with a 19 year old. i was reporting him to cybertip telling my story which made me have flashbacks to the intimate moments he had me be in.
it took me 11 months to finally tell myself that i shouldn't feel bad for reporting him. i was 12 about to become 13, he was the adult. it shouldn't have took him a whole week to finally get away from me. he knew from the start that it was considered pedophilia and yet he still decided to send explicit pictures of himself to me. he should have acknowledged it was wrong from the start and left before we became intimate online.
i havent had the courage to tell her about what i talked about in my past blog when i was 11, but i did tell about the boy who used my feelings of empathy and interest in him to use me as stimulation material that tried to pressure me into video calling and showing him my privates. I never did call him but to not make him feel bad i sent a video. god i was so naive looking back.
I dont feel right thinking back to these moments....it makes my hands, chest get tight and my heart pound.
I'm sorry if my post seem a bit stupid and basic b*** self diagnosing sht that a lot of edgy teenagers post for their aesthetic tumblr blog. i dont mean to make it like the teens made saying "i have depression" stigmatized.
its just easier to surround myself in stuff like that cuz it makes me feel like my thoughts/feelings aren't just my own. i dont want people to think im only making stuff up cuz i think its some sort of aesthetic. its not. its a mental illness.
https://i.pinimg.com/originals/87/6b/a6/876ba67674ccd9a4382bb2d70fa56410.jpg
please, dont assume i just do this for the aesthetic and "cuteness" of it. i only make this stuff to just express my feelings and thoughts but make them something others can enjoy as well.

im sorry for this being kind of long. i just wanted to clarify just so people didnt get the wrong idea of who i was.
