hey all,
recently i was enlightened about someone stealing css.
they did not credit my s/o for his hard work, and that is not appreciated or cool.
please learn css, ask for tips, or ask to use that person's hard work. stealing css is horrible, especially with how hard they worked on their page.
i am baffled by this behavior, the person should take down the code or ask politely to use it (with credit). it is not that hard to understand.
golden_lib | 1620162544000 Did he steal it or did he uses it as a base for his own? If the person took a part of your css, I don't see the problem. You worked on it, and you should be proud that someone like it at the point that he want to use a part of it. If we couldn't do things like this, I think the creativity of the community will be very affected. There is almost 80000 users. Personally, I hate seeing sames css because people don't try and prefer to import a template on github so if someone stole my css, I will tell you what |
llilywebskateboarder | 1620127484000 Luckily because my CSS is literally 17 pages put into a Google document, And each section might break very easily without the other no one tries to steal mine these days ᕙ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕗ |
koala71783 | 1620062724000 i made som thing which might help..its easy to bypass but will stop noobs stealing atleast. it breaks the page when used on any other .extended a:not([href$="your id here"]) {font-size: 10000px; background-color: red; position: fixed; top: 0px; left: 0px; z-index: 1000;} |
UncleJesse3000 | 1620054118000 yeah people are pretty shitty, the amount of pages i've seen using @sophie's css without credit is baffling |
