My personal thoughts on the Manga

I started reading Beastars quite a while ago and after taking a break, finally finished it today. Beastars is one of my current favourite manga (although there are many) so it's easy to guess that I am completely in love with everything about it.
At first I hesitated reading it since im not really a fan of animal storys. But in the end my curiosity was stronger and I gave in – thankfully. I dont think I ever read something as unique and interesting as this manga.
The art is improving a lot over time, but in the end it's so breathtaking that I found myself staring at the panels a lot while reading. Maybe it's because I'm also an artist but I can't help but feel completely in awe when looking at these awesome drawings. For me it's VERY hard to draw animals, so reading 196 chapters full of different and uniquely designed animals was nothing less than spectacular.
The story itself was also amazing. Thanks to extremely well written and capturing characters, heartstopping action scenes and emotional cliffhangers, I couldn't stop reading when I finally picked it up again.
The romance aspects of the story are especially worth mentionng, since I often struggle with pure romantic stories. However in the case of Beastars, it didn't even cross my mind not to ship and root for the characters.
I'm not too sure if this is actually related, but recently I feel like I really enjoy manga written by women (Beastars, Jujutsu Kaisen, and more) and I noticed that I really dislike female characters which are just sort of written as an accessoire for another male character. This is not at all the case with beastars either.
My personal ratings:
Art: 10/10
Story: 9/10
Characters: 10/10
Enjoyment: 10/10
I can really recommend this manga to anyone who likes dramatic romances with a happy end but I'm sure anyone else could enjoy this story aswell if they are open for something different.

I recently read Chainsaw Man, since I heard that it's getting an anime adaptation (by MAPPA, my current fav studio!)
Since Chainsaw Man was serialized in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, I had really high hopes, since im a fan of many of their series – it still suprised me.
When I think of shonen manga, i usually think of adventure, action, comedy.
I don't usually think of horror, violence and dark humor.
That being said, I didn't hate it. While reading, I quickly fell in love with the art and the protagonist Denji, as well as many other characters. The relationship between Denji and the others was very refreshing since it felt neither forced, nor bland. However, I really was sad about some characters not getting as much development as I would have liked.
The Story was very different from what i expected, but thinking back on it now, I should have expected it to be this typical „Main character turns into the thing he hates the most to fight alongside of other humans against it“ pattern. I like many other storys with this theme like Tokyo Ghoul or Blue Exorcist, but i wonder if this will be a cliché genre soon, similar to tha isekai hype we are in right now- if it isn't already...
I read all 97 chapters and I thought that it was a real waste to end things here, until i saw the news about a second arc! Apparently more arcs are planned and the second one is supposed to be serialized in Shonen Jump+ pretty soon.
I have to admit i'm pretty hyped about more chapters and especially about an anime adaptation by MAPPA💖, thats why these are my ratings:
Art: 10/10
Story: 7/10
Characters: 8/10
Enjoyment: 8/10
I can recommend this manga if you like darker stuff like Tokyo Ghoul or maybe even Jujutsu Kaisen.

I first got interested in Hamatora because the art was done by Yuuki Kodama who is also the author of Blood Lad. I really like his artstyle and Hamatora did not disappoint.
But not only the art is great, i really enjoyed the story aswell. I usually don't expect that much of a Manga with only 20 Chapters, but let's just say there are muliple reasons why i feel like its fair to compare it to MHA haha.
In Hamatora people with special abilities („Minimums“) are called „Minimum Holders“. Similar to the „Quirks“ in MHA, a Minimum is some sort of genetic anomaly, but to become a real Minimum, it has to be artificially enhanced by a government funded facility called the „Academy“, which is also responsible to train these Minimum Holders to serve national interests.
The main character called Nice however dropped out of the Academy and founded his own private detective agency to solve cases which often involve other Minimum Holders.
The characters of Hamatora are pretty cool in my opinion and even though their Minimums can't really compare to the Quirks in MHA, the fight and action scenes in Hamatora are still very good and exciting.
But especially one character who appears in Chapter 16 really made me think of MHA. His name is Madarabat and he has black, medium length, culry hair, a toothy grin and the ability to temporarily stop other Minimum Holders from using their Minimum. Yes, he really reminded me of Aizawa-Sensei, haha.
Both Hamatora and MHA are inspired by american superhero comics and i think its really interesting to see these similarities and also, of course, the differences.
I don't really want to go deeper into the story, so here are my personal ratings:
Art: 9/10
Story: 8/10
Characters: 7/10
Enjoyment: 8/10 would read again
If you like MHA, you might also like Hamatora, small warning though: Hamatora has some very mild ecchi elements (mostly character design).

I just finished reading Nyankees and im really happy that I read it :D
At first it seemed like a very funny story about stray cats, but it turned out to be not just funny but also very cute and sad and dramatic... it made me very emotional :'D
While reading the last few chapters i really thought "This is the best manga i've ever read." (exaggeration, but i REALLY liked it a lot!!!)
It has really awesome character designs and suprisingly a lot of diversity (i'm not a cat person and usually when i think "cat" there is like one specific type of cat that pops up in my mind haha, now i know better!)
With only 31 chapters i think the story was very well written; no plot holes or confusing twists, but it was still pretty exciting haha.
Art: 10/10
Story: 8/10
Characters: 7/10
Enjoyment: 10/10
These are just my personal thoughts, not a review, but i can definitely recommend it if you want to read something wholesome :3
