The most effective way to keep Americans out of poverty is providing every working-class adult $1,200 and $500 for their kids.
75% of Americans want Congress to prioritize these payments in COVID-19 relief—far above everything else. Congressional leadership must listen to them.

We Must Give $1,200 Direct Checks
Members of Congress cannot go back to our families for the holidays when children in the richest country on Earth are going hungry and millions are scared to death of eviction.
We must pass my amendment with Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri to get $1,200 direct checks to the working class of America.

I will be voting against the Defense Appropriations bill. We need to get our priorities right. At a time when we have enormous unmet needs in our country we should not be spending $740 billion on the military – more than the next 10 nations combined.

Congress must not leave for the Christmas holiday until we protect working people.
That means $1200 for every working class adult, $500 for their kids and a $600 per week supplement in unemployment benefits.
