GUYS!!! ive been listening to mcr for around 3 years but never really researched (other than in like 2017 but i was 12 and stupid) the lore or concepts or anything... but i just found out three cheers is a concept album??!?!?

if u didn't know what it's about it's about the demolition lovers (the couple on the front cover of the album and the song demolition lovers off of bullets) and basically they get into a gun fight and the girl dies (they don't have names) and the guy goes to hell and makes a deal with the devil to get his lover back. the deal was that he has to kill 1000 evil men so he goes around america and does exactly that. them album follows his emotions and how he's dealing with killing all these people. he eventually finds out that the girl never truly loved him back, or at least not as much as he loved her or thought she did, and he falls into a depressive state but is still determined to finish, as he's already gotten this far. at the end he goes to the devil and says that he's almost done but can't figure out who the last evil man is, and the devil says that it's him. the protagonist ends up having to kill himself but he no longer loves the girl. bury me in black (its a demo, it was going to be on three cheers but isn't) concludes the story and its about how the protagonist (who's now in hell) now hates his ex-lover and believes that she is a horrible person.
