I'm an internet citizen living in California and so glad that this site has been created. MySpace was actually the reason why I got into computers and eventually went on to start a career in web development. Social media sites these days offer very little in the way of customization and self-expression. All you can really do is upload pictures and write ephemeral posts for THE FEED. The personal profile is almost a forgotten concept, and it's a real shame because it offered a way for you to illustrate who you are, with music, gifs, color schemes, etc. Seems like the point of modern sites is to just generate content to fill the spaces between ads.
I like traveling to different places all my myself and just taking a self-guided walking tour. So far I've been to Portland, San Diego, New York, Seattle, Kansas City, San Luis Obispo, and Chicago. In the future I want to visit Boston, Scotland, and South Korea. If you have any Korea travel tips, please let me know! I also enjoy participating in cybersecurity CTFs, my favorite categories are pwning and web. One day I hope to attend DEF CON!
Each of us lives only one experience. I think about what my life would have been like if I went to a different school or if I took a different job, or if I had said hello to that one person... Not regretfully but just in a curious kind of away. It's all very fascinating to me that every one of us lives completely different journeys and our seemingly insignificant decisions create infinite branches that our lives could have been. I sometimes feel panic when I realize that I won't be able experience every possible pleasure or see every amazing thing. This is one of the reasons why I love watching movies and reading books about people that are very different from me. The more imaginative and absurd the better!
Last year, I was really into technical death metal - bands like Archspire, Virvum, Beyond Creation, and Rivers of Nihil. This year, it seems like I'm listening to more latin trap/reggaeton - Bad Bunny, Cazzu, Paloma Mami, and La Goony Chonga.
I believe that music videos are just as much of the experience as the song is. Video is an entirely separate medium for the artist to express themselves, so it makes the experience much more immersive. Here is my current number 1 video:
