Am I being too harsh

I fucking hate their parents so much. Her parents are just so worthless and stupid. When I'm not feeling good and she mentions anything about her parents even if its not bad I have a fucking breakdown and I say something mean about her parents. My mental health has been really bad the past 2 months and anytime I hear anything about her parents it makes it worse and I don't know how to tell them to stop talking about ANYTHING to do with their parents without sounding like an asshole. I also feel really bad after I insult their parents and I don't want her to hate me. Now that I think about it I'm the asshole in the situation.
