random thought of the day

today i was thinking a lot about family relationships in fiction.

for some reason. they're always so awkward? like when a single parent leaves their kid money for food. i've lived with my single dad since i was a baby and that's never happened lol
or when siblings refer to each other like "hey lil bro!" so friendly?? its weird bc my brother and i just insult each other all day
like yesterday he pushed me onto the dryer and i just. put up with it cause thats normal
is it not supposed to be??
