"Folie à Deux" was Fall Out Boys 4th studio album. Released in December of 2008, this album followed some amazing works such as "Infinity on High" and "From Under the Cork Tree". From that point on their music has been a little underwhelming to say the least. Now we have to start off, Infinity on High has gone platinum multiple times. Its a very popular album, and for good reason. It would be considered one of their best, along with the dream-like nostalgic feel. Folie à Deux on the other hand is just as a masterpiece as Infinity on High, but never got the same recognition. I adore this album and it gives a very strong message. I've cried multiple times to this album, Pete Wentz's writing in the album is absolutely amazing. I know I'm being a little biased here, but some of the songs hit close to home. This album feels like growing up, it has the vibe that you get when you stop being a teenager and you realize world problems. "What a Catch, Donnie" especially hits very hard. Talking about Pete's struggle with suicide and promising to not do it really hits the nail on the coffin. The thing is, this masterpiece went double gold and platinum. I know it seems like a lot, but its not a lot compared to their third studio album. I feel that these two albums are absolute works of art and "Folie à Deux" should get the same attention.
