basically on here im gonna talk about some of my favourite animes, im doing this more fo myself but if u wanna read go ahead

my favourite animes:
-hunter x hunter
-jojo's bizarre adventure (as you can tell by my username)
-nana
-great teacher onizuka
-elfen lied (fun fact: this was my first anime)
-a silent voice

i cant even begin to describe the love i have for this anime.
the chimera ant arc was my fave purely for the character development of gon and meruem. meruem is defo one of if not is my fave antagonist in all anime I've watched. the fact he was born a ruthless killer who would kill anyone who weren't his guards on sight and then died with a simple blind shogi player contrary to gon who started off as an innocent boy whos becoming a hunter to find his father to someone with so much anger and bloodlust (mostly towards pitou) just blows my mind.
also i don't think i hate how any of these characters are written, obvs i hate some characters (that one old bootyhole spider chimera ant) but they're all so well-written and actually have purpose in the story.

i will forever prefer nobu over takumi. takumi was manipulative and toxic af, yes maybe he did love hachi but nobu treated her so much better. people defend him for the sake of the child which i definitely understand but they could have worked something out for sure.
also TW takumi basically r@ped her when she clearly didn't want to have s3x because she was worried about the child and nana hearing them, it was forced consent. so because of that i will always hate him.

other than that, this anime was just so brilliant. its one of those animes where nothing goes the way you want it to but you cant help to watch more.
