I HAVE DISCOVERED SOMETHING
Okay so partial spoilers for the movie 'A Silent Voice' if you haven't watched it yet and plan to watch it.
SO I was rewatching A Silent Voice with my grandparents when I came to a realization.
Okay so do you remember the scene where Shouko was trying to tell Shoya that she liked him and Shoya didn't understand. He thought she was talking about the moon.
He said something along the lines of: "The moon? Yeah it's pretty isn't it?"
OKAY SO HERE'S A LITTLE CONNECTION I MADE: "tsuki ga kirei desu ne translates to “The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?” This phrase is a more poetic way of saying I love you."
I KNOW SHOYA DIDN'T SAY 'The moon is beautiful isn't it?" BUT IT'S CLOSE ENOUGH
It may be a bit of a stretch but nobody can change my mind.
