School Stuffs!! xD

Hey!

as you may have already have guessed, im still in school as im 16 lol.
im in the uk, so that means im doing my A Levels rn (the assessments you need to get into university) and so I thought i'd talk about what i study so you can talk to me about any shared interests easier :)

soooooooo...
i am doing four a levels, and then the welsh bacc (compulsory general studies; good concept, bad execution)
the subjects are psychology, sociology, spanish and english lit.
uhh yeah so imma go over the basics of what we do in the a levels and then any of my specific areas of interest :)

  1. Psychology - oh gosh!! my fave,, basically, this year we look at 5 approaches to psych and then the research methods, and next year we apply it more. my fave approaches r the behaviourist and cognitive, i LOVE social/educational psychology and i wanna go into a career in psych in the future (probably teaching ^-^)

  2. Sociology - hell yeh babie! gosh i luv sociology 2. basically we look at approaches also, as well as agencies of socialisation, social change, socialisation n loads more. this kinda ties in with my love of social psychology, and i love studying the family and education as agencies!!

  3. Spanish - ok, so i may be listing them in order of most to least fave, but i still really enjoy spanish. i luv languages, and spanish is such a versatile one bc altho it has its differences to other european languages, it's similar enough for me to be able to see the patterns and things?? anyway, this year we study a film (Volver, dir. by Almodovar) and also topics like changes in the spanish family and technology :)

  4. English Lit - I kinda feel bad putting it this far down, but its a lil sucky. We study a book, a play and two poets, and i hate all the poems (they're by Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, i prefer more modern poetry). The book (Jane Eyre) is p good, but my teacher doesn't usually teach it so its a bit :/ thankfully i really enjoy the play (A Streetcar Named Desire) so that's keeping me going :')

so ye! that's pretty much it. i'm more than happy to talk about any subject really bc i love academia, but i dont realllly like geography and im awful at physics, so bear that in mind hehe

bye bye <3
